Record Funding Election Commitments for Capricornia

Capricornia, as one of the country’s most marginal federal seats has attracted major funding commitments by both the current LNP Federal government Member for Capricornia Michelle Landry MP as well as her main Labor opponent Leisa Neaton.

We asked both ladies to provide a list of major infrastructure/project commitments specific to the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast community thus far.  We have purposely excluded any commitments for the remainder of the seat of Capricornia as well as any ‘generic’ policy announcements and we are sure there will be more announcements made between now and Saturday.

Of course, it is very important to note, the majority of these commitments by both LNP and Labor are on the proviso that the seat is won by the same Party that wins the Federal election.

If a Member for Capricornia is elected who is in Opposition, not in Government, the challenge of securing any funds is much more difficult!
