Creative Commercial opportunities in Yeppoon

Livingstone Shire Council’s exciting Yeppoon Multi-Storey Car Park project has entered into the next stage with Expressions of Interest opening today for two retail tenancies in the complex.

Mayor Bill Ludwig said Council would be looking for exciting, vibrant EOIs to complement the already fantastic retail offerings in the CBD.

“The $10 million Yeppoon Multi-Storey Car Park will feature 320 spaces as well as a state of the art car wash and will no doubt be one of the busiest hot spots in town when it opens at the end of the year,” Mayor Ludwig said.

“We’re looking for tenants who can add something fresh and exciting to the Foreshore Redevelopment which will give people another reason to spend time in the CBD.

“The two tenancies include The Laneway, located in a prime pedestrian thoroughfare at the Queen St entrance, and on the Hill Street side, which offers features including beautiful streetscapes as well as charming indoor and outdoor areas,” Mayor Ludwig said.

“Both of these are prime opportunities for businesses and Council will be casting the net far and wide to find the perfect tenants to be part of this the exciting project which will create economic development opportunities, generate local jobs and employment and activate the surrounding area.

“The car park itself, which is currently on-track to be completed and operational before Christmas 2016, will address current and long-term parking needs to service both the town centre and foreshore as well as servicing anticipated population growth and increased tourist visitations.

“Council will be looking to fill these tenancies by the end of the year and, pending fit out of the spaces, have tenants in the car park building by May next year,” Mayor Ludwig said.

Expressions of Interest open close at 5pm 26 August 2016. Full details can be found online at www.livingstone.qld.gov.au/1189/Yeppoon-Multi-Deck-Car-Park-EOI
