THEMED TRAILS TO BUILD BEEF’S ECONOMIC IMPACT

Capricorn Enterprise is launching a collection of themed leisure trails designed at enhancing visitors’ experiences during Beef Australia.

The trails were created to help local businesses capitalise on major events like Beef Australia and increase visitor expenditure.  They are a great and easy tool for local businesses to use when assisting their customers during Beef Australia.

With over 100,000 people expected at the international event, Beef Australia is a prime opportunity to showcase what the region has to offer to a diversified audience.

Results from Beef Australia 2015 show there was over 81,000 attendee’s visits with expenditure in the region injecting $74 million from visitors and exhibitors, with an additional $66.3 million generated within the region. With the number of visitors predicted to grow at this year’s event, these trails are designed to support local businesses in capitalising on this and continuing to grow the economic impact as well.

Capricorn Enterprise Chief Executive Officer, Mary Carroll, said, “These trails provide locals and visitors an easy way to connect with some of our best locations.  From magnificent Southern Great Barrier Reef islands and beaches, arts and culture, Byfield national park, the historical sights of Mount Morgan and breathtaking views from Mt Archer NP and Wreck Point Lookout, there’s something for everyone while they are here for Beef Australia”.

There are five trails available; Scenic Coast Trail, Arts and Culture, Explore Byfield, Historic Mount Morgan and Explore Rockhampton.  A digital collection of the trails can be found at www.capricornenterprise.com.au/tourism-brochures and on our leisure website http://www.capricornholidays.com.au/discover/travel-information
