Destination proudly welcomes third Master Reef Guide

Offering over 10 years of PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certified experience, together with a genuine passion and love for her beautiful backyard, Keppel Dive owner and operator Lyndsay Appleton has recently become the third Master Reef Guide gracing the Keppel Bay waters.

Master Reef Guides, trained and selected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) are the world’s leading reef guides, interpreters and storytellers sharing the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area.

After a week of learning from leading marine scientists, archeologists, filmmakers, traditional owners and GBRMPA staff in how to maximise guest experiences when they visit our special part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Lyndsay proudly joins husband and business partner, Sam Appleton, and Freedom Fast Cats Max Allen Jnr to become our destination’s latest recruit.

Lyndsay joins nine Master Reef Guides who operate in the Southern region, including locations such as Yeppoon, Great Keppel Island, Heron Island, Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliot.

With a focus on maximizing visitor experiences when they visit our special part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Sam, and now Lyndsay from Keppel Dive have become a double force when it comes to making a difference to preserving and protecting our underwater paradise.

Capricorn Enterprise extends our congratulations to Lyndsay on this fabulous achievement.
