Major Projects Forum early bird registrations close this Friday 1st October

Have you got your tickets yet for the Region’s Premier Industry Event? You can join local industry partners in a day of learning and collaboration on major projects and developments happening in our region.

But you’ll need to be quick to catch the last of the early bird registrations which close this Friday, 1st October.

The line-up of speakers at the MPF2021 is impressive; including both familiar faces, whose respected knowledge and insights have been highly regarded in previous years, and new to the Forum presenters talking about interesting and exciting new developments on our doorstep.

For the first time, the Major Projects Forum will see Steve Quilter, the Executive General Manager Commercial Strategy and Energy Futures, Stanwell, updating attendees and industry. Mr Quilter was appointed Executive General Manager Energy Trading and Commercial Strategy at Stanwell in July 2016. He joined Stanwell in February 2012 as Swanbank Power Station Manager and was appointed General Manager of Stanwell’s gas and hydro generation portfolio in May 2013.

In this role, Mr Quilter is responsible for the trading of Stanwell’s generation in the National Electricity Market. He also oversees the development of commercial strategies targeted at diversifying revenue streams and creating value from Stanwell’s various fuel resources.

Another new speaker at this year’s forum will be Lewis Glynn, Head of Project Delivery, Surf Lakes.

As Head of Project Delivery, Mr Glynn will lead a team of project managers in charge of managing the construction and site-specific design requirements for each Surf Lake. With the biggest break in surf park innovation at the Yeppoon R&D facility located in our region, this exciting development is in planning application now and has the potential to be the first commercial site.

Stay tuned for further information about the remaining speakers in the weeks leading up to the MPF2021.
