Capricorn Enterprise continues to strategically market the Capricorn region to domestic and international consumers, trade, media and business, while supporting and developing industry projects, attracting large scale investment and driving the region’s economy forward.

As part of this, we work with partners, sponsors and members to

  • promote the Capricorn region as a desirable holiday destination within regional, state, national and international markets,
  • ensure the community within the region has a high level of understanding of the benefits of tourism,
  • assist the facilitation of a strong, healthy and diverse local economy with emphasis on the development of new or expanded tourism enterprises for the region, and
  • provide visitors with a range of quality information and booking services including the Capricorn Visitor Centres, 1800 tourist information number and consumer websites.

Capricorn Enterprise manages a variety of websites and platforms to assist locals and visitors alike.

Making the move to our destination to work, live and play is easy with the one-stop digital platform, Live Capricorn Coast, reflecting the extensive and diverse lifestyle offerings available from the coast to the city. The platform captures the essence of one of Queensland’s fastest growing areas outside of the southeast corner and home of choice for more than 120,000 residents. With links to our local real estate agents, local schools and community organisations and more, the platform shows just how diverse and breathtakingly beautiful our region is.

Capricorn Enterprise has a Community and Sporting Directory webpage which was designed as a one stop shop to discover local community-based organisations and sporting clubs offering a range of activities and information to suit your family needs. Local community and sporting groups are invited to update their details or be included in the Directory by email or phone 07 4927 2055.

The liveability platform also includes a Business Events Hub, designed to assist business and industry to find local business events across the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton region, from workshops and networking to conferences and online classes. Businesses and industry are able to submit a business event to be reviewed for inclusion on the calendar.

Capricorn Enterprise’s Work in Central Queensland platform continues to grow and strengthen as more jobseekers and employers look to connect and discover opportunities across the region. The accompanying Facebook page of the same name, www.facebook.com/WorkinCentralQueensland/, has grown it reach to more than 20,000 views each month.

The Taste Capricorn Coast website features 50 local Growers & Makers and Eateries & Retailers, 31 of those businesses feature on the Taste Capricorn Coast Food Trail. Businesses continue to join the website and trail, allowing locals and visitors alike to discover the finest produce the Capricorn Coast has to offer. With over 100 sources feeding into the ‘What’s On’ page through the Everi event platform, the site offers an easy and convenient way to search for events and festivals in the Capricorn region. The comprehensive search function helps you find upcoming sporting, music, markets, performing arts, health and wellbeing, food and wine events, along with fishing competitions, art workshops and activities for the kids… and the list goes on. This year, the region’s event calendar is jam packed!

VisitCapricorn continues provides information about places to staythings to do and where to go throughout the Capricorn region in Central Queensland. Visitors can enjoy a range of holiday options, including family friendly, geotourism, golfing holidays, adventure, relaxing getaways and more! Plan your trip now. Generating an average of approximately 6,000 leads to industry every month, there were 282,081 page views on the website by 123,819 users within the financial year. Its accompanying Facebook page, www.facebook.com/visitcapricorn, reached 570,828 people and had 2,520 post engagements in the last month.
