This special broadcast supported Tourism and Events Queensland’s (TEQ) newest campaign, ‘A Pacific Coast Way Road Trip is Too Great To Wait,’ which encouraged Queenslanders to hit the road and explore the spectacular Pacific Coast Way. As a key stop along the way, our region was promoted to millions of viewers, reinforcing its reputation as a must-visit destination for road-trippers.
Capricorn Enterprise played a central role in coordinating the Ch 7 Sunrise visit and was thrilled to see the region’s vibrant community showcased to the nation.
The live cross highlighted some of the region’s local produce and experiences, who shared their stories, bringing the spirit of the region to life.
There were also special visits from Yeppoon Surf Life Saving Club Nippers and boarders from St Ursula’s College and St Brendan’s College.
Mary Carroll, CEO of Capricorn Enterprise, expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity.
“We were thrilled to welcome the crew from Ch7 Sunrise and shine a national spotlight on everything that makes our destination so special—from our local experiences to our community clubs and schools, local flavours, or simply soaking up the relaxed coastal lifestyle.”
“All major highways lead to Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast region, and this campaign was a fantastic way to inspire Queenslanders to embrace the open road and discover the incredible destinations along the Pacific Coast Way,” Mary said.
“We sincerely thank Tourism and Events Queensland for their dedication to showcasing Queensland’s diverse travel experiences and for helping to put our region up in lights.”
