Capricorn Coast CamperMate Campaign – Industry Results Snapshot

Supporting our region, showcasing our members, driving visitors

This campaign was the second major instalment of our larger destination marketing campaign: Queensland’s Greatest 100km Road Trip—a bold initiative designed to attract new visitors, support local businesses, and boost regional dispersal across the Capricorn Coast Region – from our hinterlands of Mt Morgan and Rockhampton to the Keppel Islands and coastal communities.

Following the success of our digital campaign with NewsCorp Ltd, we partnered with CamperMate, Australia’s leading road trip and camping app, to inspire thousands of travel-ready visitors to explore the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton Region and support our members.

Importantly, all Capricorn Enterprise members with tours, attractions, and caravan park accommodation across the Capricorn Coast were included in this campaign.

Over 409,000 Impressions Delivered

  • Capricorn Coast experiences and member businesses seen by a large, travel-focused audience.

Record Engagement Uplift

  • 121% increase in searches for Capricorn Coast experiences.
  • 125% increase in leads—travellers actively seeking more information or planning to visit.

High-Impact Social & Digital Promotion

  • Targeted ads, app banners, curated lists, push notifications, and social posts all showcased our region.
  • TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook content increased followers and engagement across the board.

Outstanding Paid Media Results

  • Over 166,000 ad impressions with strong click-through rates.
  • High-performing audiences included road trippers, campers, and travel planners with a strong interest in exploring new destinations.

Summary

The campaign delivered above-target results across all key metrics, achieving one of the strongest uplifts for CamperMate in user engagement to date. The integrated approach successfully increased awareness, drove actionable leads, and positioned the Capricorn Coast Region as a desirable, must-visit destination for road-trippers and adventure seekers.
