Mayor Margaret Strelow has called a Public Meeting for the purpose of establishing a ‘suppliers group’ specific to the resources industry.
The group will have the support of Council, Capricorn Enterprise and the Capricorn Chamber of Commerce. A steering committee will be formed at the meeting. This steering committee will operate independently of any of the three organisations. Mayor Strelow envisages that this suppliers group will provide for the mutual support and growth of the sector in the Rockhampton Region.

(Council has employed Jayne Whyte, currently General Manager of SME gateway Adelaide to support the sector. She commences with Council in late March)
Those supplying directly into the sector, or who see their company as a supporter of the resources sector and would like to be involved are invited to attend.
A light lunch will be provided.
