ABARES Regional Outlook Conference

ABARES is holding seven one-day Regional Outlook conferences around Australia in 2011, with one in each state and the Northern Territory. The Regional Outlook conferences are an essential part of our delivery of commodity forecasts and research results directly to rural and regional communities. With regionally based speakers complemented by ABARES presenters, each conference program is tailored to the region.

Each conference delivers thought-provoking information, from local agricultural data and innovative business practices through to the global commodity overview. Conference delegates can hear commodity forecasts, discuss industry trends, access information and make new contacts in their community that encourage new approaches to traditional issues.

ABARES—the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences—provides integrated economic and scientific research, analysis and advice to government and industry on the key policy challenges facing the agriculture, fisheries and forestry sectors today and into the future.

ABARES welcomes the Office of Northern Australia’s (within the Department of Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government) support of this conference.

Registration – $88
