Small Business Solutions workshops in Emerald
Business mentor Alison Blomkamp encourages local business owners and operators to attend the Small Business Solutions workshops in Emerald in September.
Alison will offer her expertise in facilitating, supporting and mentoring small business owners and operators as part of the Small Business Solutions (SBS) program operated by Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE.
This State Government initiative offers businesses personalised, one-on-one mentoring from a pool of 40 experienced small business professionals across Queensland.
Alison is an experienced mentor and facilitator who recognises that group learning is engaging, enduring and enjoyable as participants learn and share ideas with each other.
“The Small Business Solutions workshops provide mentoring for businesses as well as a recognised business qualification,” Ms Blomkamp said.
“The program is a fantastic business development enabler and fosters healthy economic stability to all regions across Queensland. Mentors work with businesses on a one-to-one basis and this year the program has also successfully trialled the business success workshops throughout Queensland.”
Alison believes participants receive numerous benefits through the workshops, including:
• Completing a business plan with the support of qualified mentors
• Conducting a Small Business Solutions online ‘Business Health Check’™
• Accessing one-on-one business mentoring sessions
• Potential eligibility to gain a Certificate IV in Small Business Management from Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE
• Subsidised workshop registration of $350 per person.
An invitation is extended for local business owners and operators who would like to work SMARTer in their business operations, not harder.
