What is Communication 2 Careers?

A conversation is the act of communication between 2 or more individuals.

Communication 2 Careers is a RING initiated event where students get to meet local business people and expand their business networks while improving their communication skills with short interview like conversations.

The Conversations may cover the students plans on leaving school, resume tips, career advice and further education/training they may benefit from. Research has indicated that students who can recall having four or more career conversations are five times more likely to be working or in further education.

Business representatives who have attended C2C events have used the opportunity to recruit staff. The purpose however is to provide the students with the opportunity to practice their face to face communication skills to better prepare them for future job interviews. C2C business attendees have commented on the calibre of the students and their enthusiasm to contribute in the workforce.
