Queensland’s Adventure Committee descend on the Capricorn Coast
Posted on April 26th, 2016
Adventure Queensland is the peak backpacking body for the state and their committee will be at the Capricorn Coast this Thursday 28th April for the very first time to give local tourism business the opportunity to gain insight into the Youth and Adventure Market.
Local Adventure Queensland committee member and owner of Emu’s Beach Resort, Paul Neubecker said, “This is the first time Adventure Queensland has had a function in the Capricorn Region so this is a rare opportunity for local businesses to chat with these industry professionals”.
“Adventure Queensland is a membership based organisation and was formed to support businesses in the Youth market through marketing support and representation to all levels of government”, Mr Neubecker said. “The committee is made up of owners/operators from key tourism businesses across the state”.
Capricorn Enterprise’s Tourism & Marketing Manager, Deanne Bowd said, “Our local tourism members have been invited to attend an Open Meeting and Networking function at Emu’s Beach Resort this Thursday night. This event is an excellent opportunity for any business currently working in the Youth market or looking to attract that market. It will also provide businesses with key contacts within the industry”.
Queensland currently welcomes approximately 340 000 backpackers each year and the largest percentage of these people are aged 15-29 who travel alone.
