What a GREAT DAY for our region! Rookwood Weir, one of our Region’s PRIORITY PROJECTS – one step closer with today’s announcement!
$2 Million has been committed towards the Final State Government Business Case and an additional $130 Million from the Federal government towards construction.
This is the great result when all levels of government (Federal, State and Local), business and industry work together for the good of our region! Our Federal Member for Capricornia Michelle Landry, Federal Member for Flynn Ken O’Dowd and Senator Matt Canavan should be justly proud and it is also heartening to have Federal Labor Candidate Leisa Neaton strongly supporting the project. This Project is just too important for Politics to get in the way of jobs and growth for Central Queensland.
