New Australian tv series “We are Tomorrow” will begin shooting around Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast in the coming weeks.
Mad Lane Productions Madeleine Kennedy has been working with Capricorn Enterprise, Regional Development Australia and both Rockhampton and Livingstone councils to shoot the last 30% of the series.
‘We Were Tomorrow’ follows the journey of twin siblings who are forced to navigate through three lifetimes to escape a dying world and an immortal hunter. The production has already shot scenes featuring the Great Wall of China and the temples of Ayutthaya in Thailand and are coming to the region for its authentic landscapes and heritage buildings.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our region to a national and international audience,” Capricorn Enterprise chief executive Mary Carroll said, “This production highlights the potential of the region to grow in the film industry sector”
The cast and crew, which includes actor Gyton Grantley from House Husbands and The Dressmaker, will be in region from August 29 to September 10, with the series to be delivered to a domestic & international broadcaster late September.
