Opportunity for Tourism & Hospitality Skills Partnership with Industry
Posted on September 7th, 2016
The Gateway Schools Network for food, wine & tourism is a network of high school teachers from Government, Catholic and Independent schools connecting to the Queensland tourism and hospitality industries through experiences and real industry partner connections. The Gateway provides teachers with professional development and industry currency through connections to industry standard partners for commercial cookery, tourism, hospitality, agriculture (limited) and wine chemistry.
The program is coming to Rockhampton on Wednesday 14th September with several programs for hospitality teachers, plus an information session on the program itself. This is an opportunity for hospitality and tourism industry to connect with high schools to ‘give back’ to assist to fill the skills gap shortage in commercial cookery and hospitality to ensure the students entering the industry are getting the best start. For more information on this session visit Gateway Info Session Rockhampton.
