Capricorn Enterprise Major Projects Forum – November 8th – Rockhampton
This year’s Major Projects Forum hosted by Capricorn Enterprise is a MUST ATTEND if your business is interested in engaging in upcoming regional projects valued at over of 2 billion $$$$’s!
Capricorn Enterprise are excited with the selection of “high level” presentations on show at this year’s Forum including two Defence projects at Shoalwater Bay (2018 -2022), coal projects within the Bowen and Galilee Basins “on show” including an update by recently appointed ADANI Mining Chief Executive Lucas Dow on the Carmichael Coal Mine, Rail and Port Project, and Lacour Energy’s Clark Creek Wind and Solar Project ($800M plus).
Neil Lethlean, Economic Development Manager at Capricorn Enterprise, promises, “This year’s forum will be Bigger and Better with information sessions on upcoming infrastructure projects in the region.”
Proponents, managing contractors and industry sectors will highlight local industry content in upcoming infrastructure projects: roads/highways (with in excess of $250 million local investment), upgrades and new infrastructure within the expanded Shoalwater Bay Training Area, opportunities in the resources sector due to the expansion of coal mining activity in Centre Queensland and renewable energy investment.
Mr Lethlean urges local businesses to attend, “A recent meeting of the area’s major industry groups stressed the importance of understanding how and when larger infrastructure projects would be delivered, industry involvement in construction or supply chain opportunities and importantly scheduling so as to avoid overlapping, in essence all the key components of project delivery!”
This year’s Forum is planned as a fully catered “ALL DAY EVENT”, commencing at 8am for registrations at Kortes Resort Conference Centre, Yaamba Road Parkhurst, (phone 4936 3153). Event details and program available on the Capricorn Enterprise website.
