Great Australia Day Beach Party
The Great Australia Day Beach Party is one of Queensland’s biggest Australia Day celebrations. Held right on the Yeppoon Foreshore on the Capricorn Coast, this signature community event offers visitors and locals alike a jam-packed day of entertainment and family fun programs.
Fast becoming an ‘event not to be missed’, the day long program has something for everyone from beach games, on water and community participation activities to the fantastic stage program, stalls, rides and a ‘banging’ fireworks finale.
The event typifies everything that is great about our lifestyle and being an Australian, and with a beautiful sub-tropical climate scheduled every year, you will want to bring your bare feet, bathers and beach chairs down for this spectacular!

Big Beer Festival
Australia Day just got serious in the Beef Capital with the first annual Big Beer Festival hitting Rockhampton, proudly presented by the Capricorn Food and Wine Festival.
The Festival will feature local live talent including Short Fall, Silky Fuzz, Maddi & the Hoopers and Blake Hamlyn, a frothy lineup of 30 locally brewed and craft beers to sample, and plenty of gourmet food stalls to keep you entertained into the afternoon.

Great Keppel Island Hideaway Aus Day Tunes
Great Keppel Island Hideaway is choc a bloc full of Australia Day entertainment with a jam-packed line up of live music from Friday 24th January to Sunday 26th January.

Keppel Bay Sailing Club Australia Day Regatta
The race of all races is taking place at the Keppel Bay Sailing Club on Sunday 26th January from 9.30am. With tactics and teamwork being the key to success, participants are encouraged to register by midnight 22nd January. The event will be both fun and informative and consist of two divisions – open and junior. All participants must hold current KBSC sailing membership and the $15 registration will include BBQ lunch. Spectators are welcome!
Young Bull Riders World Finals Fundraising Bull Ride
On Saturday 25th January from 6:00pm, the Great Western Hotel will come to life as the home of bull riding hosts the YBRWF Bull Riding Fundraiser. The event raises funds to offer our local young rider’s scholarships to attend the Youth Bull Riding World Final in 2020. Grab an award-winning meal from the Bullhead Steakhouse and settle in for some serious entertainment at Australia’s Most Unique Pub.
