“Country Singer” Jasmine Rae ready to rock Great Keppel Island
Posted on March 2nd, 2020
Popular Australian singer/songwriter, Jasmine Rae is grabbing her “Pink Guitar” and dropping anchor at Great Keppel Island in 2020, set to bring the bush to the beach at the second annual Country on Keppel event from 17-19 July.
Proudly presented by Great Keppel Island Hideaway, Country on Keppel is the newest 2-day music festival to hit the region.
Leaving her “Party on the Couch”, CMC Music Award winner, Jasmine is headlining the festival alongside returning ARIA Award winning artist, James Blundell, who delivered a cracker performance at the inaugural event in 2019.
Both Jasmine and James will join an impressive line-up of live music from Australia’s best country artists, including Golden Guitar winner Brad Butcher, to bring this unique celebration of country music to Keppel Bay.
This year’s event will kick off a night earlier with the Green Bros Country on Keppel Talent Search, giving local “Hunky Country Boys” and girls the opportunity to share their boot scootin’ sounds. The lucky winner will join the country star line up on the main stage over the weekend.
Event organiser, Peter Blundell is ecstatic to have Green Bros on board, supporting the inaugural Talent Search. “One of the aims of Country on Keppel is to foster and encourage new talent in Country Music, and the Green Bros Country on Keppel Talent Search is a fantastic step in achieving that”.
Accommodation packages are available through Great Keppel Island Hideaway and additional Keppel Konnection ferry services will operate regularly over the weekend.
Capricorn Enterprise CEO, Mary Carroll is encouraging locals to get onboard and support this unique event. “Set amongst the beauty of Great Keppel Island, this family-friendly event is one you won’t want to miss.”
“Children under 18 are free to come along with a paying adult for a taste of country rock, and families are being encouraged to make it a long weekend and discover everything on offer at our barefoot island paradise.”
