The TODAY Show once again wowed by our destination
Posted on September 30th, 2020
Following three days of successful and well-received live crosses a fortnight ago from Yeppoon, Byfield and Great Keppel Island, the Channel 9 crew from the popular TODAY Show were inspired to return to the region and capture even more of our wonderfully diverse landscape.
Spending another three days exploring Emu Park and discovering the history of Mount Morgan and Rockhampton, weather presenter Tim Davies chatted with an array of local businesses and personalities to showcase the very best that our region has to offer.
From observing the ANZAC Memorial and Singing Ship at Emu Park, to discovering the iconic gold rush town of Mount Morgan in Central Queensland’s charming hinterland, the crew wound up their broadcasts in Rockhampton this morning, highlighting the mighty Fitzroy and world heritage listed Quay Street.
Capricorn Enterprise CEO, Mary Carroll is grateful for the opportunity to feature even more of our region on the popular national platform and has been extremely impressed by the professionalism of the entire TODAY Show team.
“Tim and the crew have been amazing to work with and I extend a big thank you to all of the local businesses and community who have shown up and powered through the early mornings to put their friendly smiles in front of the camera,” Mary said.
“We have built a strong relationship with the TODAY Show team and we are certain that they will be back to visit again soon.”
