Beef Australia calls for Expressions of Interest from local producers
Posted on November 17th, 2020
Beef Australia is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from local producers who would like the opportunity to partner with Beef Australia in supplying fresh local produce for the 2021 exposition. This triennial event generated over $85 million for the local economy in 2018 and they are committed to showcasing and supporting our region’s diverse array of quality, fresh, local produce.
Since its inception in 1988, Beef Australia has grown from a bicentennial celebration of the Queensland cattle industry, to an internationally recognised event. In addition to generating over $85 million for the local region the event drives significant domestic and international trade and investment. Every three years in May the Australian beef industry makes its pilgrimage to Rockhampton for a week of competitions, education programs, networking , tasting and celebrations. The industry is standing strong despite the current global crisis and beef remains Australia’s largest agricultural export.
In 2018 the event enjoyed a record attendance of over 100,000, cementing its position as the leading event of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
They look forward to hearing from our local producers and further enhancing the connections between farmers , consumers and the hospitality industry.
