Queensland National Parks 10,000 Steps Challenge
Posted on May 5th, 2021
Queensland National Parks have teamed up with Central Queensland University and their 10,000 Steps Program for an exciting monthly challenge for May!
We all know that being active, especially outdoors, is a great way to boost your physical and mental wellbeing, so this May we challenge Queenslanders to make the most of the great outdoors by joining a Queensland National Parks-themed 10,000 Steps Challenge.
From the Gondwanan Rainforests of the Scenic Rim to Queensland’s highest peak, Bartle Frere, in the Tropical North—the Challenge will take participants on a virtual walking journey through some of Queensland’s most naturally and culturally diverse places.
10,000 Steps members can choose from four journeys to walk, wheel, jog or shuffle the distance of Queensland’s Great Walks and multi-day hikes—virtually—from wherever they choose to be active. This could be a nearby national park or forest, a local council park or a trip around the block! Every step and every move counts towards their individual monthly goal!
Visit the 10,000 Steps Monthly Challenge landing page to find further information and links to blogs from Queensland National Parks’ Think outside campaign with helpful hints and tips to get you started.
