Doctors to graduate by 2029 in Rockhampton!

From Term 1, 2022, CQUniversity’s Bachelor of Medical Science (Pathway to Medicine) will be available to school leavers in Rockhampton and Bundaberg.
CQUniversity’s Bachelor of Medical Science (Pathway to Medicine) is an ideal study option for those seeking a rewarding career in medicine, benefiting from authentic, and real-world learning experiences that equip you with relevant skills and knowledge in science, biomedical science and health to be well prepared for further medical study.
Available in Rockhampton and Bundaberg from Term 1, 2022, this innovative course is designed for school leavers and provides a limited number of places (20 places in Rockhampton and 20 places in Bundaberg) as a provisional entry pathway into The University of Queensland’s regionally based Doctor of Medicine program.
From 3 August until 30 September 2021, students are able to apply via the Queensland Tertiary Admission Centre (QTAC). For information on how to register your interest or to apply, click here.
As noted by the Regional Universities Network, people who study in the regions largely stay in the regions to work.
With the CQUnviersity and University of Queensland partnership, the first cohort of doctors in the program will be eligible to commence work in the region in 2029.
