CQ urged to name local ‘Greats’

Central Queenslanders are urged to name their local heroes as part of the Queensland Greats Awards recognising the efforts and achievements of remarkable individuals and institutions. Let’s celebrate these “greats” for their invaluable contribution to the history and development of our great state.
The Queensland Greats Awards recognises extraordinary Queenslanders who have made a long-term contribution to, or whose achievements have significantly impacted, the history and development of Queensland.
Nominations are open across three categories:
1. For individuals who have made a long-term contribution to, or whose achievements have significantly impacted, the history and development of Queensland.
2. For companies or organisations operating in Qld, public or private, regardless of size or industry, that have contributed to Qld for a considerable period. This includes multi-national subsidiaries, partnerships, franchises, non-govt associations, community organisations and registered charities.
3. To honour deceased individuals who have made a long-term contribution to, or whose achievements have significantly impacted, the history and development of Queensland.
