New life begins at Koorana Crocodile Farm
Posted on January 4th, 2022
Back in 2020, Capricorn Enterprise snapped up the sponsorship of a prehistoric beast named ‘Fiona’ to support the ongoing work of Koorana Crocodile Farm during one of the most challenging times of the long-term farm’s existence.
As tourism was placed on hold for many months, the team at Koorana were met with the problematic role of continuing to maintain the thousands of crocs on site, without any income to feed and sustain the day-to-day routines and upkeep of their massive squad.
Capricorn Enterprise was happy to hear that our adopted croc, Fiona spent her New Year protecting her nest after laying on Monday 27th December.
The new additions to Koorana Crocodile Farm will join the family early in 2022.
UPDATE: The team from Koorana collected Fiona’s clutch of approximately 50 eggs today with a visiting crowd of 60 witnessing the excitement!
Koorana Crocodile Farm runs daily tours, where you can witness croc behaviour, feeding and even hold a juvenile. Book a tour from February and have the chance to witness Fiona’s and many other hatchlings enter the world.
