Tourism Trade visit destination

From Carnarvon Gorge to Wop-pa Great Keppel Island, Capricorn Enterprise and local industry hosted key Tourism Trade partners to our destination prior to this week’s ATEC Meeting Place 22 held in Cairns (21-24th Nov), the first multi-day, face to face business to business event delivered by ATEC since November 2019. In partnership with TEQ, agents from Expanding Horizons and Australia And Beyond Holidays (AABH) visited our destination for the very first time on a whirlwind three night/four day itinerary and loved it.
Now in its 50th year, Meeting Place is the second largest tourism trade event after Tourism Australia’s Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) event, which will be held on the Gold Coast in May 23, hosting some 300 delegates. With international arrivals already back to 53 per cent of pre-pandemic levels, this weeks event hosts more than 100 key international buyers.
