Country on Keppel completes line-up of stars

Country on Keppel is ready to bring a festival like no other to Great Keppel Island in July with their final artist announcement featuring Caitlyn Shadbolt, Melanie Dyer, and Danny Phegan.
“I’m so excited to come back to Country on Keppel,” Caitlyn said.
“I played in 2020 and had never performed while surrounded by such beautiful landscape. Since then, I’ve written a bunch more songs and I’m keen to share and road-test a few. Looking forward to this relaxing holiday… Oh wait gig. I mean gig. Ha!”
Having already announced headliners including Adam Brand, Lyn Bowtell, Matt Cornell and James Blundell, Country on Keppel have much more to offer at Australia’s only country music festival on a tropical Queensland island.
Award-winning and chart-topping artists Caitlyn Shadbolt and Melanie Dyer will be flying the pop country flag while Danny Phegan returns by popular demand with his stories and songs that’ll have you in hysterics one moment and wiping tears the next.
Melanie can’t wait to get to the festival.
“Great Keppel is such a beautiful island!” she said.
“I’ve been lucky enough to visit a couple of times with friends but it’s even better that this time I get to bring the guitar and share my music alongside this awesome line-up of country artists. Bring on the tunes, sand and sunset drinks!”
Danny is a long time Country on Keppel performer and between the landscape and the line-up, he’s keen to return.
“The sand is as white, and the water is as blue as it looks on the postcard,” he said.
“What a privilege it has been to perform on Great Keppel Island to be included again in the 2023 line-up.”
The 2021 Green Brothers Country on Keppel Talent Search winner Alice Benfer returns and is joined by Brooke Supple, Zac Cross Band, and Tony Cook and the Blundell Brothers featuring Peter and Harry Blundell.
This will be a special moment in the festival as the late founder, Peter Blundell’s sons take to the stage at Great Keppel Island Hideaway.
The organisers pride themselves on featuring local talents, so a new feature of Country on Keppel is Locals Over Lunch featuring Denvah and Kate Mahood.
The festival kicks off with the Green Brothers Peter Blundell Memorial Talent Search featuring five of the brightest music talents from across the country.
