New Tourism and Events Queensland CEO, Patricia O’Callaghan visits destination

Capricorn Enterprise CEO, Mary Carroll hosted a whirlwind visit by new Tourism and Events Queensland CEO, Patricia O’Callaghan this week. Only in her eighth week in the role, Trish has managed to visit eight out of the 13 regions in Queensland, to gain a full scope of the diversity of our Sunshine State. Joined by TEQ’s Group Executive – Corporate and Industry, Nick Elliott, the duo met with the Capricorn Enterprise Board of Directors and local government authorities in the region, before taking a quick tour of Mount Archer’s Nurim Skywalk, Rockhampton’s iconic Quay Street, Yeppoon township, Yeppoon Lagoon, Wreck Point, Keppel Bay Marina and the Singing Ship at Emu Park.
Trish will return for a more detailed familiarisation of our key experiences in a couple of months’ time and during this visit will also meet industry at a planned networking night.
Capricorn Enterprise appreciates the short but valuable visit by Trish and Nick, and looks forward to working with the Tourism and Events Queensland team into the future.
