Yeppoon’s Crimson Finch Brewery locks in a grand opening!

It’s time to start working up a thirst Yeppoon… Crimson Finch Brewery will swing open its doors from midday on Friday 20th October.
After more than 12 months of ‘beerstorming’, hard work and dedication, head brewer and co-founder Carl Legros is ready to let his creative juices flow through the Capricorn Coast and wider community.
A vibrant testament to the thriving craft beer scene across the Southern Great Barrier Reef and beyond, Crimson Finch Brewery is proudly perched on Anzac Parade in the heart of Yeppoon, overlooking Keppel Bay’s stunning vistas.
Their ground-zero taproom will not only brew and distribute the Crimson Finch range, but it will also provide a welcoming space for locals and visitors to share a local craft beer and an appreciation for this incredible destination we call home.
Which is ironically how it all began…
After scooping up his first Champion Brewer title, Carl’s desire to brew commercially intensified. A passion for making enzymes sing soon saw Carl and his wife Rachael find like-minded partners in Wayne and Laureth Rumble and Grant and Tanya Lynch.
Immediately drawn to Carl’s tenacity and endearing positivity, the three duo’s embarked on the Crimson Finch adventure – navigating blood, sweat, beers, laughter, friendship and incredible success along their journey.
“We have been heavily focused on the thought of producing beer that is unique, made with passion, love and intensity, and brings people/communities together to enjoy,” said Carl.
“This journey has inspired and excited us, and we are thrilled to finally open the doors of Crimson Finch to the public and welcome everyone to celebrate with us.”
“The Capricorn Coast is a truly remarkable destination and the ability to deliver a product that embodies who we are and what we stand for makes me incredibly proud,” said Carl.
Together with his team, Carl has his sights set on making some of the highest quality and best-tasting beers in the world.
Represented by the Australian Crimson Finch – a bird that exudes freedom and elegance and has a personality renowned for its boldness and confidence – Crimson Finch Brewery’s signature collection of craft beer has been created with the finest ingredients.
Capricorn Enterprise CEO Mary Carroll congratulates the Crimson Finch team, thrilled to see successful business owners continuing to invest in their local community.
“Our team is so proud to have recently supported the launch of Reef Distillers, and just weeks later celebrating the launch of yet another exciting new beverage business in Crimson Finch,” Mary said.
“The Capricorn Coast’s culinary and mixology scene is fast becoming a paradise for food and drink enthusiasts, and is reflected in the abundance of quality cafes, restaurants, bars and now brewhouses.”

Crimson Finch Brewery will trade for the first time from midday – 8:00pm on Friday 20th October.
“Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the afternoon and stay for the evening,” Carl said.
“We will have our beers on tap, but also have other options including Reef Distillers Vodka and Gin, a YEPP Brewing tap, white and red wines, ciders, ginger beer and soft drinks.”
“There will also be food available at the brewery through WOWAPPS courtesy of Vue Wine Bar & Restaurant, along with bar snacks available for purchase.”
