Part One Of The $2.2m Renovation Announced for The Coastal Pub
Oceanfront establishment in Yeppoon, The Strand Hotel, will re-open its beach bar and terrace as well new open-air street dining on Thursday 21st December. The modernised spaces will open as part one of the pub’s planned $2.2 million renovation with upcoming beer garden slated to open in early in 2024.
The Strand’s refreshed look will bring the best of beach to bar. With interiors that complement its relaxed seaside atmosphere with warm timbers finishes and light and bright touches throughout.
Offering a menu of Queensland pub classics and fresh seafood, the pub has its neighbourhood and summer visitors sorted with the ultimate seaside dining opposite Main Beach. Perfect for those wanting a quick drink, mid-week family dinners or a weekend session with friends, there’s something for everyone.
Dishes will include a 250g QLD Chilled Prawn Bucket with spiked marie rose sauce as well as a main feast fit for one or two, the Seafood Basket comes with beer battered fish, chilled chilli mussels, fresh poached prawns, salt and pepper squid, natural oysters, garlic bread, scallop potato, bruschetta, tartare and lemon. The jam-packed menu continues with gourmet pizzas, share plates, burgers, steaks, and the crowd pleasing classic parmi. An accompanying drinks list of approachable tap beers, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages means all-day refreshments will be covered.
The Strand will be the perfect destination for Christmas Day dining with family and New Year’s Eve celebrations with friends.

- Chicken Schnitzel with a selection of toppers, $23
- Wednesdays – Steak Night
- 250g Rump Steak served with chips, salad and choice of sauce, $25
- $1 from every Parmi sold will be donated the Yeppoon Surf Life Saving Club through The Strand Hotel’s ongoing Local Heroes charity partnership program
- Thursdays – Pizza Night
- Any pizza from the menu, $20
- Sundays – Fish & Sips
- Fish & Chips and a Frozen Margarita for $25
