Successful applicants announced for latest round of QDEP funding

Events continue to play a huge role in our region’s visitor economy, and the Capricorn Coast region’s 2024 annual events calendar is once again jam-packed with a diversity of festivity.
The Queensland Destination Events Program (QDEP) provides funding for events that increase visitation to a destination, and recently announced its latest round of funding distribution with two local events across Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast receiving a boost.
Yeppoon Running Festival and Rockhampton River Festival will benefit from the funding, which will enable the event organisers to drive visitors and inspire people to return again to enjoy more of what the destination has to offer.
Capricorn Enterprise endorses all QDEP applications, and works closely with the Events team at Tourism and Events Queensland to gain greater funding for events across our entire region.
We look forward to witnessing another successful year for the Yeppoon Running Festival (27th and 28th July) and Rockhampton River Festival (26th – 28th July).
