The Strand Hotel Opens Refreshed Beer Garden & Main Terrace

The Strand Hotel in Yeppoon has opened the refreshed beer garden and main terrace, marking the completion of the local watering-hole’s renovation which focussed on enhancing existing areas and offering for locals and visitors of all ages.

With a Beach Bar & Terrace that re-opened in December last year, locals can also now enjoy the updated Beer Garden & Main Terrace. The large outdoor dining area features a marquee that ensures year-round enjoyment, while the main terrace includes an expansive timber deck that offers seaside views of the main beach.

To welcome patrons back, The Strand Hotel is putting on an exciting Welcome Weekend with entertainment for everyone. Venue Manager Nathan Marshall is anticipating a fun-filled weekend, “We’re proud to finally have our entire pub back open for our community and our Welcome Weekend is going to be a great way for us to show off these new spaces with a line-up of entertainment for locals and visitors to enjoy.”

    • The Strand Beach Party! Live Music & DJs 1pm – late. Free Entry!
  • Sunday, 21st April:
    • Cash cube with prizes up for grabs, from 2pm
    • Kids 12 and Under Eat Free, all day long
    • Prawn Peeling & Eating competition with $1000 The Pass credit as the prize, from 4pm
    • Kids dance party, 1pm – 3pm
    • Live music, 4pm – 7pm

A modernised menu launched alongside the December renovation openings, featuring a range of crowd-pleasing pub classics and tasty seafood. Dishes include Pork Belly Bites that are perfect for sharing, served with chili char sui, sesame and lime, as well as menu staples like a Southern Fried Chicken Burger with kimchi aioli and iceberg lettuce and a Chicken Parmi. For those that are after the full seaside pub experience, the Seafood Basket for two will be hard to miss.

A range of weekly specials and entertainment have also been put on the list with local in mind, meaning there is always a reason to head to Yeppoon’s favourite pub.

  • Mondays – Locals Day: Chef dishes of the day from $15
  • Tuesdays – Parmi Day: $23 chicken schnitzel with choice of toppers, served with chips and salad
  • Wednesdays – Steak Day & Trivia Night:
  • $25, 250g Rump Steak served with chips, salad and choice of sauce
    • $1 from every Parmi sold will be donated to the Yeppoon Surf Life Saving Club through Strand Hotel’s ongoing Local Heroes charity partnership program
