NRMA’s ‘Open Road’ drops in overnight to the Capricorn Coast

Recently, NRMA Parks & Resorts commissioned a famil with journalist Dorian Mode and photographer Lydia Thorpe for Open Road, NRMA’s quarterly magazine.
With a readership of 2.8 million members, Open Road delivers motoring news, road safety tips, and travel inspiration.
Dorian and Lydia embarked on a scenic road trip across the Southern Great Barrier Reef, staying at various NRMA accommodations, including NRMA Capricorn Yeppoon Holiday Park, Turtle Sands, Woodgate Beach, and Agnes Water.
While on their whirlwind visit to the Capricorn Coast, they experienced the rich eco-culture firsthand – visiting High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm, where they toured with Ross to learn about sustainable farming. The experience culminated with a delightful meal at Beaches Restaurant, known for its true farm-to-fork approach, showcasing the best local ingredients.
