Rockhampton’s very own Jaymon Bob has made it to the top six of Australian Idol 2025, impressing judges and audiences with his raw talent and heartfelt performances.
The 23-year-old Indigenous handyman first discovered his passion for music when he was stuck at home and picked up a guitar. Before stepping onto the Idol stage, Jaymon was a dedicated athlete, representing Australia in touch football at the 2024 World Cup and playing for the Indigenous All Stars.
His journey on Australian Idol began after a friend’s success on the show inspired him to audition. With a stunning rendition of If Tomorrow Never Comes, he earned his spot in the Top 30. Most recently, Jaymon delivered an emotional performance of Train’s Drops of Jupiter, securing his place in the competition’s top six as two other contestants were eliminated.
With Rockhampton rallying behind him, Jaymon’s next performances are sure to be unmissable as he fights for the Australian Idol crown.
