Emu Park Dawn Service
Emu Park’s Dawn Service begins at 5:30 am at the Emu Park Cenotaph, within the Anzac Commemorative Precinct. This peaceful service mirrors the timing of the ANZAC landings at Gallipoli. Arrive early and bring a torch and warm clothing.
Yeppoon Dawn Service & March
The Dawn Service at 5:00 am will take place at the Yeppoon Cenotaph (Normanby Street). A march through the town center will follow, with veterans, current service members, and community groups participating. Spectators are encouraged to line the streets in support.
Rockhampton Dawn Service
The day begins with a Dawn Service at 4:27 am at the Rockhampton Cenotaph, located within the Rockhampton Botanic Gardens. This solemn service marks the exact moment the first ANZAC soldier landed at Gallipoli. Bring a torch and dress warmly, as the early morning can be cool.
Rockhampton March & RAAF Fly-Past
After the Dawn Service, a march through Rockhampton’s streets will take place, concluding with a free sausage sizzle on the riverside boardwalk. At approximately 11:30 am, look to the skies for a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) fly-past over Quay Street (subject to change).
Gracemere Anzac Day Events
Dawn Service at 4:35 am at the Gracemere Cenotaph (James Street). A march assembles at 4:10 am near Conaghan Park (Lawrie Street), stepping off at 4:25 am. After the service, attendees are invited to a Gunfire Breakfast at the RSL Club Rooms.
Alton Downs Service
The Alton Downs Dawn Service will be held at 4:27 am at the Memorial Cenotaph (Alton Downs Hall, Ridgelands Road), followed by a Gunfire Breakfast, bringing the community together.
Gunfire Breakfasts
After the Dawn Services, Emu Park and Yeppoon RSLs will host Gunfire Breakfasts, offering a chance for the community to gather and reflect. A small fee may apply, with proceeds supporting veteran services.
Additional Services Across the Region
Commemorations will also take place in Keppel Sands, Mt Chalmers, Westwood, and Bouldercombe. For details, check local community boards or council announcements.
Anzac Family Fun Day at Archer Park Rail Museum

The event includes stalls, live entertainment, refreshments, and interactive displays, making it a great way for families to engage with Anzac history.
