Empire’s Got The Best Seat For Fitzroy Fireworks
Posted on July 1st, 2015
The Rockhampton River Festival pays homage to Fire in the Sky, bringing three spectacular displays to the festival with the Fitzroy Fireworks, at 7pm on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July.
Proudly sponsored by the Empire Apartment Hotel, The Coffee Club, Ribs and Rumps and Pacino’s, the Fitzroy Fireworks is sure to delight with a firework display like no other seen in Central Queensland.
Manager of Regional Promotions, Ms Sarah Reeves said that the three displays will awe the crowds with special water effects and plenty of opportunity for front row seats.
“There is no better place to watch the fireworks than from your very own ‘Empire,” said Ms Reeves.
With great riverfront room packages available at $225, this was a great way to enjoy front row seats in style.
Empire Apartment Hotel is Rockhampton’s newest and largest Apartment Hotel taking pride of place on the finest riverfront site in Central Queensland.
The stunning development is only steps to boutique shops, the art gallery, theatre and restaurants – and of course to the Rockhampton River Festival between 9 – 12 July.
Grant Cassidy, Managing Director of Empire Apartment Hotel said it was a fantastic way to celebrate the most prominent feature of our city, the picturesque Fitzroy River.
“The Rockhampton River Festival will really highlight the natural beauty of our region and the CBD Riverfront Precinct and is a great event for the families of Rockhampton to enjoy,” said Mr Cassidy.
“We are proud to support this event and be a part of making the Rockhampton Region the best it can be.”
Developers of Empire, Andrew Beaumont and Wayne Riddell know the potential that the Region and the Rockhampton River Festival has.
“We have always been committed to the riverbank and all the benefits it offers, the river fireworks was a great family event, and we at Empire are proud to do what we can to see it return to the region.”
Rooms can be booked through the website at www.empirerockhampton.com.au or by calling 07 4936 0000.
Manager of Regional Promotions, Ms Sarah Reeves said the support and sponsorship from the group of businesses will show the region’s best assets and provide great entertainment for the whole family.
“We have been lucky to have such great support from The Empire Hotel Apartments and associated businesses to make this set of fireworks a very special display. We can’t thank them enough for their support and everything they are doing to grow this great city,” Ms Reeves said.
On Thursday 9 July start the festival off early with a walk along Victoria Parade, bask in the moment as the sun sets over the Fitzroy River, book a table at some of our favourite riverside restaurants and browse the Rockhampton; the forgotten port city exhibition at the art gallery.
Try Pacino’s; Rockhampton’s best Italian Restaurant, meet up with friends at the Coffee Club or feast on Ribs and Rumps at the Empire.
Residents are encouraged to invite family and friends back to the region for a weekend full of tastes, sounds adventures, interaction and never before seen surprises such as Mermaid Melissa.
