Extensive Interest in High Growth Business Program

Twenty eight independent businesses from Rockhampton and Yeppoon have registered to participate in the Capricorn Enterprise “Economic Gardening High Growth Business Program” [EGP] which is due to commence with a full day Boot Camp this Thursday.
The inaugural program that was delivered between September and December 2015 resulted in twenty four businesses graduating. The follow on interest from local SME’s has been very positive with the likelihood of a further EGP being offered in the second half of 2016.
Economic Development Manager with Capricorn Enterprise, Neil Lethlean states, “the interest from local business to participate in the High Growth Business Program is very encouraging and I thank all associated groups for their support of the Program, and subject to business interest it is very likely that a further program will be offered in the second half of this year”.
Capricorn Enterprise CEO Mary Carroll states “it is very encouraging that local SME’s see the benefits of Economic Gardening training and business networking essential in developing synergies in terms of supply chain opportunities and alignments. To get the Economic Gardening Program ‘up and running’ Capricorn Enterprise along with Livingstone Shire Council contributed substantial funding to support local business and it is encouraging that Rockhampton Regional Council are now engaged and supporting the Program”.
With funding support from the Commonwealth Government’s Industry Skills Fund and local Councils the Economic Gardening Program is offered FREE to local businesses.
Thursday’s Boot Camp is scheduled to commence at 9.30am sharp at the Rockhampton Leagues Club, Phillips Lounge.
Media Groups wishing to engage with the Lead Consultants, Capricorn Enterprise personnel or registered businesses are encouraged to attend between 9 and 10am.
Note: The Economic Gardening Program is designed for companies in any industry, from sole traders to medium-sized firms, that have the potential and desire for high growth. It runs for approximately 3 months, starting with an all day Boot Camp that covers business strategy followed by 4 evening workshops covering Customer Relationship Management, Financial Management, Digital Strategy and Social Media and Advanced Marketing.
The Program has been successfully run in the Illawarra region of NSW for the past 10 years resulting in a growth in turnover of $35.4 million for regional firms as well as creating an additional 123 job. {IRIS Research}
