Major Projects Update – in excess of $65B in regional projects

Projects valued at in excess of $65 Billion (repeat $65 Billion) are detailed in the latest edition of the Capricorn Enterprise Central Qld Major Projects Report released today.
Whilst coal projects total a massive $40.5 Billion, other general infrastructure projects make up the difference including Rookwood Weir (awaiting State Government funding), Qld Government funded works such as regional hospital upgrades, natural disaster recovery works, schools as well as national parks, electrical infrastructure upgrades etc, national and state funded roads and bridges, plus local government capital works including community infrastructure, water supply and road networks.
Whilst Capricorn Enterprise takes all possible measures to source reliable infrastructure information in producing the Major Projects Report it notes that the Report maybe deficient due to the lack of specific detail on commercial developments which aren’t necessarily available for confidential reasons.
