Rockhampton’s own Jaymon Bob, a 22-year-old Indigenous handyman, has captured the nation’s heart on Australian Idol 2025.
His journey began unexpectedly when, grounded at home, he picked up a guitar and discovered his passion for music.
Jaymon’s performances have been consistently impressive, from his soulful audition of Garth Brooks’ “If Tomorrow Never Comes” to his heartfelt rendition of James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful” in the Top 10.
His unique blend of R&B, soul, reggae, and country, influenced by his cultural heritage, has set him apart in the competition.
