2017 Queensland Election Commitments

With last Sunday’s announcement of a Queensland Election to be held on Saturday 25 November, Capricorn Enterprise will continue working hard on lobbying for investment in the key Priority Projects for our region.
We will seek commitments from candidates, and ensure that our members are armed with as much information as possible going in to the election.
Capricorn Enterprise welcomed the first announcement of funding committed to our region yesterday, with an elected Palaszczuk Government promising investment of $25 million towards a Great Keppel Island recovery package which includes major tourism infrastructure of water and power connections to the mainland, sewerage treatment, a public jetty and boat ramp, as well as amenities for visitors, including public toilets. This investment is just part of a larger commitment to Tourism in Queensland.
Further party announcements will be collated and distributed as they come to hand.
