Imagine sun-filled days, spectacular coastal views and a 2,500 square metre resort style infinity pool with impressive vistas to the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Now, imagine this paradise is free to use.
The Yeppoon Lagoon Precinct is the Capricorn Coast’s newest signature tourist attraction, and it’s free for visitors and the community to enjoy.
Straddling the Tropic of Capricorn in Central Queensland, this amazing large-scale resort style pool is located right on the beachfront overlooking Yeppoon’s Main Beach. The infinity pool has views over the Keppel Islands, which is framed by advanced tree plantings.
It’s a great spot for a picnic with barbeques, tables, and large playground all within the surrounding parkland. While away your afternoon relaxing under the tropical foliage and absorbing the stunning views.
Natural timber decking, granite tiling and brightly coloured deck chairs enhance the coastal vibe.
This picturesque facility has been designed to include both a shallow children’s play area and an informal lap swimming area.
Infrastructure also includes a two-story pavilion with an extensive verandah overlooking Yeppoon Main Beach to offer a stunning dining experience. The ground level has a kiosk and retail tenant.
The $53 million-dollar redevelopment is set to promote economic growth by attracting international and domestic tourists.
Entry to the Lagoon is free and is patrolled Monday to Sunday including Public Holidays.
The Yeppoon Lagoon is located right in the heart of Yeppoon and just minutes from luxury beach front accommodation, gourmet dining and a thriving retail precinct.
Lifeguards are on duty while the Lagoon is open. Wheelchair access to the Lagoon is available.
Yeppoon is easily accessible by road, rail, coach, and air and is situated 35 kilometres north east of Rockhampton, in Central Queensland. Rockhampton is a short one-hour flight from Brisbane.
