Southern Great Barrier Reef Trade Workshop
Posted on February 20th, 2019
Thirty tourism operators across the Southern Great Barrier Reef destination headed to the Town of 1770/Agnes Water on Monday 18th February to learn about tourism trade distribution with our very talented Amanda Kruse from Success Matrix. This training is thanks to funding by the Queensland State Government Department of Tourism (DITID) and administered by Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC).
Feedback from operators has been extremely positive and we hope to welcome many more contracted properties into the tourism trade distribution network over the next year. Our Southern Great Barrier Reef tourism trade mentoring commenced some nine years ago at which time less than a handful operators were trade ready. We now have 65 operators trade ready, with another 18 operators across the SGBR receiving one-on-one mentoring this financial year thanks to a strong partnership with the three Regional Tourism Organisations (Capricorn Enterprise, GAPDL and Bundaberg Tourism).
