Overseas tourism wholesaler Barbara DeBlonde from Aussie Tours visited our destination last week with her husband and small child and did not want to leave! Aussie Tours is one of our Belgium tourism wholesalers working with Inbound Tour Operator, Goway and it was Barbara’s first visit to Queensland.
Her six week itinerary of the state visited all of the properties and destinations she has been selling for ten years to her clients from Brisbane to Cairns, so a year ago during her planning stage, I convinced her to extend her stay in our Southern Great Barrier Reef Destination to include a diversity of our product offering.
As a result, during her trip north from Brisbane to Cairns, Barbara and her family visited Carnarvon Gorge (3 nights), Myella Farm Stay (2 nights), Town of 1770 (1 night), Great Keppel Island (2 nights) and Yeppoon (1 night). They absolutely loved the variety and fell in love with the ‘village vibe’ of Yeppoon, particularly the Keppel Kraken, Yeppoon Lagoon and Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary with their 4 year old son. Thanks to GKI Hideaway and Echelon Yeppoon for providing accommodation.
Barbara and her husband had wished her few nights here was more and said Yeppoon is one place they could see themselves living! I have no doubt they’ll be back and of course book many more of clients over the coming months and years from Belgium to the Southern Great Barrier Reef!
