Airing on the ABC on Tuesday 11th February at 8:30pm, ‘Griff’s Great Australian Rail Trip’ features our own Great Western Hotel.

British comedian Griff Rhys Jones hops on some of Australia’s most impressive long distance trains, travelling across the expansive outback and along spectacular coastlines. The epic railway expedition through Queensland has been featured on ABC, catch up with earlier episodes of ‘Griff’s Great Australian Rail Trip’ on iview.
The trip was supported by TEQ and Regional Tourism Organisations, including Capricorn Enterprise. Two episodes of the series feature Queensland, with Brisbane, Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef in episode three and the Gold Coast to Longreach in episode four.
The ‘Down Under’ version of the show will also air in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Griff Rhys Jones is globally popular, with his other shows averaging five million viewers per episode, and his last show rated as the UK’s top factual show. Catch the show on the ABC on Tuesdays at 8:30pm.
