UNREAL campaign made by REAL holiday makers
Posted on March 10th, 2020
Capricorn Enterprise has launched a landmark campaign using photos and video created by “real people” on real holidays.
This campaign, created by the very people it is intended to target, was designed to encourage the Central Queensland region (including our traditional western markets), as well as Mackay, to pack up the family, jump in the car, and take the four-hour drive south to #visitcapricorn and discover what’s on offer in our magical #southerngreatbarrierreef destination.
The television commercial, hit screens on 8th March, and accompanied by social media and online advertising. The call to action of the campaign are some amazing deals provided by our tourism operators.
Showcasing images and videos of UNREAL holidays by REAL holiday makers, phase two of this promotional campaign follows the successful launch of the 2020 Yeppoon and Capricorn Coast Insider’s Guide, which was the first travel brochure of its kind for a Queensland destination, using images sourced from real Instagram accounts. With a wealth of inspiration at the fingertips of those dreaming of their next holiday, Capricorn Enterprise has further developed a user-generated television commercial which captures the attention of today’s savvy travellers using a more dynamic and personalised approach.
“Real is powerful and by revealing our destination through using genuine imagery from actual holiday makers to our region, we are creating authentic content for those considering their next trip away,” said Capricorn Enterprise CEO, Mary Carroll.
Piggybacking off the successful ‘Holiday here this year’ advertising currently on our screens from Tourism and Events Queensland, Capricorn Enterprise is strongly encouraging our Mackay neighbours to come and explore our untouched reef and islands, endless stretches of white sandy beaches, and the natural landscapes of our national parks and forests.
“The coming months are the perfect time of year to immerse yourself in the laid-back beauty of the Capricorn Coast. With loads of family-friendly activities on offer without the hustle and bustle of crowds, we invite you to come stay and play over your Easter holidays,” said Mary.
Many local tourism operators including accommodation providers, restaurants, tours and experiences have jumped onboard the campaign to provide special holiday deals for our northern friends looking to book their next holiday here.
Stay tuned as we say ‘Hello from Great Keppel Island, Yeppoon and the Capricorn Coast’!
