Local businesses welcome vital support from Queensland Small Business Commissioner

Capricorn Enterprise was very pleased to host Queensland Small Business Commissioner, Maree Adshead this week.
Ms Adshead spent quality time with a number of Capricorn Enterprise Members at Cocobrew in Rockhampton and The Strand Hotel in Yeppoon on Tuesday 4th August to hear about specific issues affecting small business, as well as providing an overview on the services of her office including financial counselling, negotiating leases and securing agreements. Ms Adshead also met with Local Government Authorities and individual businesses during her road trip throughout Queensland.
Workshopping topics that Ms Adshead was already advocating for, to raising some new business issues specific to our region, local operators had the opportunity to provide a strong voice for business challenges and concerns around some very important issues.
Ms Adshead was appointed as the Queensland Small Business Commissioner in May this year to work alongside small businesses and provide as much support as possible, providing advocacy and support to keep as many businesses up and running throughout the COVID recovery phase.
