Today Show takes a trip to the Capricorn Coast (Yeppoon, Byfield, Great Keppel Island) as they explore the Queensland coastline

Tim Davies from Channel 9’s Today Show has been soaking up the sub-tropical rays this week with live crosses from Capricorn Coast going to air from 5.30am, Wednesday to Friday.

Kicking off on Wednesday at the ‘larger than life’ Yeppoon Lagoon to catch the sunrise, Tim spent the first day discovering everything from street art murals, snappy residents from Koorana Crocodile Farm, chatting with Jordan from Capricorn Caves, and checking out the nipper’s sailing skills at the Keppel Bay Sailing Club. Boarders from St Brendan’s Boys College and St Ursula’s Girls College were thrilled to be able to wave to their loved ones as far away as the Torres Strait Islands.

Day two will showcase the stunning Byfield National Park as Tim dabbles in some canoeing up Waterpark Creek before chatting with Marto from Ferns Hideaway Resort. Steve from Nob Creek Pottery drops by to showcase his some art and Kieron from Cooberrie Park lets Tim get up close and personal with some of our favourite wildlife friends. Visit Capricorn’s junior ambassador Owen Harris made his first guest appearance (with Mum Bluey) wearing his Visit Capricorn ambassador uniform!

Finishing up on Friday relishing in the beauty of Great Keppel Island, Tim gets some sand between his toes and dives in to explore the amazing underwater world of the Southern Great Barrier Reef, before strapping on his runners to take on some of the adventurous walking tracks of Great Keppel Island.

Wake up with the Today Show from 5.30am – Wednesday to Friday, and remind yourself of why we live in the best place on earth!
