Rookwood Weir Water Allocation Sales program – Tender Two EOI closure

Rookwood Weir is a $352 million water infrastructure investment to drive new economic and employment opportunities for the agricultural industry and the community of Central Queensland.
In May 2020, Sunwater invited landholders and investors to discuss their water needs and the opportunity to secure a water allocation from Rookwood Weir through an Invitation to Tender (Tender One) and an Expression of Interest (Tender Two).
Sunwater is pleased to advise that there has been strong interest in both tender processes, with the outcomes of Tender One currently being finalised.
Sunwater will be progressing with the development of a support package for people wishing to participate in Tender Two using feedback gathered during the EOI process. The Expression of Interest (EOI) for Tender Two will now close at 5pm, Monday 30 November 2020.
Sunwater will use feedback collected through the EOI to design support packages to meet landholder needs. In 2021, Sunwater will provide information about the support packages available and open applications to landholders.
Please note that you do not have to submit an EOI form to participate in Tender Two or to apply for a support package. It will, however, ensure you are on our contact list and allow you to provide input into the design of the support packages ahead of their release in 2021.
Sunwater is encouraging landholders whole are interested in securing water available in Tender Two, and who would like assistance, to complete the EOI form by the closing date and return to rookwood.weir@sunwater.com.au.
