Fun Over Fifty are ready to hit the road in 2021

Are you fabulously over fifty and ready to take the trip of a lifetime to experience the Southern Great Barrier Reef?

The team at Fun Over Fifty are gearing up for their first tours for 2021, kicking off on 6th March and 10th April. The 9-day escorted tour weaves an unforgettable adventure through the Capricorn Coast, Rockhampton, Great Keppel Island, Heron Island, Town of 1770 and Childers.

Designed for the 50 plus market of holiday makers, Fun Over Fifty is a family owned company, working passionately to showcase Queensland to the world.

Offering ‘Gold Class’ coach tours, Fun Over Fifty welcomes 15-35 guests on each tour taking part in entertainment, exceptional experiences hosted by expert guides, delicious food, and the ever-present support of a friendly and professional on-board crew.

Departing Brisbane on Day 1, guests will enjoy their first four-night stay at Salt Yeppoon, enjoying the magical views and salty kisses, before heading to Rockhampton on Day 2 to explore the unique limestone caverns at the Capricorn Caves.

From here, the luxury coach will return guests to the Capricorn Coast where they will have the opportunity to let loose with some fun and laughter over lunch with a show at Footlights Theatre Restaurant.

The tour provides plenty of ‘down time’ to relax and simply take in the scenery of the beachfront accommodation which encourages guests to familiarise themselves with the Keppel Island vistas, before getting up close and personal to these very islands on Day 3.

Cruising through the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park on board Freedom Fast Cat’s glass bottom boat is an experience to remember. The tour offers a quiet, relaxed alternative to viewing the wonders of the reef and spectacular marine life without even getting feet wet!

Day 4 begins with an inspiring Paddock to Plate adventure, where guests will be treated to the High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm experience. The 140-acre seaside allotment evolved from owner Ross O’Reilly’s passion for wellness and sustainable development. The organically grown produce is served at the farm’s nearby restaurant Beaches Rosslyn Bay.

Following a delightful lunch, the afternoon will be spent admiring the coastal scenic loop showcasing 13 beautiful beaches including a stop at Emu Park to visit the Singing Ship.

Farewelling Yeppoon on Day 5, guests will then head to Gladstone Marina to board the Heron Island fast cat where the next two nights will be spent at Heron Island Resort before heading onto Agnes Water/Town of 1770, where guests will be treated to an exciting and informative day on the Pink Amphibious LARC, before hitting the homeward stretch on Day 9.
