Capricorn Enterprise Destination Tourism Strategy (2021-2030) released
Posted on September 1st, 2021
After many months of planning, consulting and discussion, Capricorn Enterprise is pleased to launch our Destination Tourism Strategy 2021-2030, which outlines our region’s collaborative commitment and intent to manage, develop and promote our destination over the next decade.
Endorsed by Capricorn Enterprise’s Tourism Management Committee and Board of Directors, the Destination Tourism Strategy builds on the success and achievements of the 2014-2020 plan and aligns with the strategic direction of several local Tourism Action Plans from across our three regional precincts of Capricorn Coast, Rockhampton region, and Central Queensland Highlands.
Seeking to achieve a range of priorities and focus items, the succinct 2021-2030 Destination Tourism Strategy outlines our competitive advantage and builds on the promotion of the region’s natural assets, unique offerings, local character, and environmental credentials to remain a leading provider of tourism.
As we enter a decade of rapidly accelerating change inspired by global forces, there is a need to change the way we live, work, and embrace travel. In a world where social distancing is essential and seclusion and isolation desirable, the Capricorn region is positioned to generate further prosperity as we listen and understand what today’s travellers pursue.
